Aims of Website and Facebook page
The Foreshore hasn't had an official Friends Group for quite a while, so this site was set up to inform the community about our beautiful beach and also act as a base for people to 'do their bit' to keep the foreshore looking good.
The Seaford Foreshore Friends has been set up as an organisation with no committee or meetings - hence we will not be incorporated or have executive positions or AGM's. We will just be a group of people who visit this website and facebook page to see what's going on at the Foreshore and participate in events like Clean up Australia Day, Weedbusters, Tree Planting Day or Summer By the Sea.
Frankston City Council is aware of this group and will be following our progress. To be covered under Council's insurance policy we will need to sign an attendance sheet at each event and submit this to Council's Volunteer co-ordinator.
If you already 'do your bit' on the Foreshore, please go to our Contact Page or Facebook site and send us a message about what you do - others might either join you or get inspired to look after our Beach as well.
We have set up an email group - so if you have friends that might be interested in helping the Beach, please pass this Website on to them and ask that they send a request via our Contact Page to be included in Email mail outs.
